Associate Publication Manager

(Medical Communications / Education)

The objective of this vacancy medical writing is communicating medical research through texts / writing. You communicate scientific topics to audiences of mixed background and you deliver input to  the communication plans Excerpta delivers their clients. As an Ass. Publication Manager, you are responsible for performing background literature research and the subsequent preparation of high-quality, medically accurate documents, across a range of publication plans in differing therapy areas, addressing different target audiences through peer-reviewed literature.
You closely cooperate with your team members (Marketing, Production, Medical Advisors, Project Coordinators) and you report to the Director of Strategic Publication Planning.

Ideally you meet as much as possible of these criteria:
• You have a life science (bio-medical) academic education, and preferably a PhD in life sciences
• Superb command of the English language (preferably mother tongue), outstanding writing and communication skills, with exceptional attention to details. 
• Ability to rapidly learn and apply knowledge in previously unfamiliar therapy areas
• Excellent computer skills, including Word and PowerPoint, are required. 

You don’t have to live in the Amsterdam area already, but must be willing to move here if you now live abroad: most of your job is done at the Amsterdam office. Are you an expat? Excerpta helps with relocation and there is an attractive tax-reduction. (Valid EU work permit required.)

Your contract will be 36 hrs per week, 27 days annual holiday, extra time you put in, can be compensated with extra days off.

Remuneration package is highly competitive and commensurate with experience. Excerpta pays an extra 13th month, has profit sharing and pays 2/3 of your pension, plus corporate health-insurance discount. The Amsterdam Staff organises monthly training programs, you can also enroll in the overall Reed Elsevier professional training and enjoy the office gym.
