Established in 1978, Holland House Beach Hotel is an iconic landmark hotel on St. Maarten. The hotel is Independently owned and operated and known for its modern feel, serving a casual "savoir-vivre" in the middle of Philipsburg, the historic capital of St. Maarten.

The Restaurant:

The Ocean Lounge Restaurant and bar is located in the Holland House Beach Hotel
on the Island of St. Maarten. The restaurant overlooks the Great Bay beach with its calm water and departing cruiseships at night and has an eclectic and vibrant ambiance. It is considered one of the top restaurants on St. Maarten The menu is inviting and the Chef creates daily specials using fresh ingredients that are locally farmed and flown in.
The Ocean Lounge restaurant features a Wine Spectator Awarded wine-cellar. ( 2015-2020)

Functieomschrijving voor de vacature F&B manager Sint Maarten

The F&B manager is in charge of the daily operations of the Restaurant, bar, lounge and beach bar, providing breakfast, lunch and dinner. In addition the F&B manager will be assisting in the development and operations of a new beach bar concept and the F&B part of the Dutch Delights retail and gourmet experience shop

The F&B department has on average about 26 staff members.

The goal is to create a strong, interesting, enticing and profitable F&B program that will contribute to the boutique hotel atmosphere, will be open to outside guests and will be of a high level with a good value. The atmosphere is vibrant, relaxed, open and professional.


The tasks and responsibilities of the F&B manager are:

* Monitoring daily sales and improve average guest spending
* Organizing purchasing and cost control - maintaining target gross profit margin and prime cost
* Developing suggestions for various menus
* Managing wine cellar and maintaining Wine Spectator Award status
* Organizing special events, such as mothersday brunches, Christmas, New Years eve, steak night, Friday night at Holland House etc.
* Overseeing high service standards with supervisors and assistant managers and focussing on a minimum 4.5 star guest rating with review sites.
* Maintaining the POS systems.
* Maintaining store rooms and non food inventory
* Maintaining clean and organized work spaces
* Overseeing scheduling of staff members
* Communication with the Chef and working together to reach the common goals
* Promoting a enjoyable and professional working atmosphere for staff
* Answering all emails to the restaurant department, making quotations and suggestions for Sales office.

Functie eisen voor de vacature F&B manager Sint Maarten

* Hands-on professional with pleasant, positive mindset and well balanced personality.
* Strong and proven track record in similar size restaurants and operations
* Bachelors degree in hospitality
* Passion for cooking and gourmet knowledge from around the world
* Well travelled
* Speaks English and preferably Dutch
* Exceptional communication skills
* Drivers license
* POS and computer skills
* Great organizer and high standards
* Excellent understanding of the financials of F&B
* Willing to relocate to our beautiful island!

Arbeidsvoorwaarden voor de vacature F&B manager Sint Maarten

Remuneration package:

* Salary of $3000 - 3700 nett (netto)
* Medical insurance

* Expense F&B account up to $500 per month
* Flight to Saint Martin
* 1/2month vacation pay

* Contract per mid October 2021
