Senior / Lead Accountant – TES (Amsterdam)

Ex-Big 4/Top 10 – ready to move from audit treadmill to building a best-in-class finance function

The role

You will become the backbone of our entire financial administration and get the opportunity to have real impact – no more endless audit work, but actually building and improving a finance operation in a fast-growing green-energy scale-up.

Hands-on and strategic at the same time:

Full ownership of day-to-day accounting (A–Z): AP/AR, journal entries, reconciliations, payroll

Drive monthly and annual closings across multiple entities – accuracy, completeness and deadlines guaranteed

Coordinate with external advisors on VAT and corporate income tax filings, audits and statutory accounts

Partner with Controlling to deliver high-quality financial data and analysis

Help design and improve financial systems and processes (ERP implementation, automation, standardisation)

Bring structure and reliability to a rapidly evolving environment while keeping scalability in mind

Act as sparring partner for management and guide junior team members when needed

Ensure compliance with IFRS, Dutch GAAP and local tax regulations

Who we are looking for

You have built several years of experience at a Big 4 or Top 10 firm and are ready for the next step. You are done with the audit treadmill and want a role where you can be hands-on and think strategically at the same time.

Big 4 / Top 10 background with proven experience in audit/accounting of international groups

End-to-end accounting experience for international entities (consolidations, intercompany)

Practical, entrepreneurial mindset – you love both structure and speed

Comfortable in a dynamic scale-up environment – you see opportunities, not chaos

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, statutory reporting and tax (VAT / CIT)

Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite or similar); strong Excel and automation skills

Detail-oriented yet able to keep the bigger financial picture in sight

Fluent in English; Dutch is a significant advantage
